THE MUSTANG:

The Mustang is a Myers Park High School themed build of the Estes Big Daddy Rocket Kit. This Rocket was built in 2019 and has yet to be launched but is one of the largest builds created by the Rocket Girl's Club. It is inspired by Myers Park High School's mascot the Mustang and exhibits the school spirit our club has and the appreciation we have to shine as girls at Myers Park.

The Mustang is 19 inches tall and has a diameter of 3 inches.
The Mustang boasts laser-cut wooden fins, a 24-inch parachute recovery system, and an estimated max altitude of 900 ft. It accepts C-D sized engines.
The Sally Ride

The Sally Ride is a high flying red hot version of the Estes Magician Rocket Kit. This Rocket was built in 2019 and has yet to be launched. It is to date the tallest rocket built by the Rocket Girls club! It was inspired by Sally Ride, the first female astronaut in the United States! She truly exhibits the brave and hardworking qualities we love to see in women in STEM in the Rocket Girls club. We named this rocket after her to commemorate her accomplishments and remind us of the women we want to be!

The Sally Ride is 33.5 inches tall and has a diameter of 2 inches.
The Mustang boasts laser-cut wooden fins, a 5 inch clear payload space, and an estimated max altitude of 1600 ft. It accepts D-E sized engines.

The Dirty Dozen
The Dirty Dozen is a set of 12 beginner rockets that we use to allow new members to hone their skills in rocket building. These rockets are great for collaboration and members are able to contribute their best skills for each step of the way. Each rocket was worked on by multiple members and we enjoyed being creative in the end when putting the finishing touches on and painting the rockets. These rockets were built in 2020 and have yet to be launched. These rockets truly represent the creative outlet and collaborative space we hope to provide with our club.
Each of The Dirty Dozen is 12 inches tall and has a diameter of 1.5 inches.
Each rocket boasts laser-cut wooden fins, an original hand painted painted design and an estimated max altitude of 1000 ft. They accept A-B sized engines.
